Horse Transportation

We specialize in transporting :

  • race horses,

  • show horses,

  • mare & foal

We pick up and deliver right at your location, and we call you ahead of time to let you know when to expect our arrival.

  • We do not stage horses while waiting for other horses to arrive or depart.

We started hauling race horses in 1979, and we have hauled virtually every breed of horse imaginable. As owner/operators we take pride in being horse people first and not a just as a trucking firm. Therefore, we handle each and every horse with great care, and practice horse husbandry as you would expect from us.

Our purpose is to transport your horse with care and attention at a very competitive price. All our equipment is brand new and we trust our experience to ensure your equine arrives safe and sound.

During transport, all horses are fed and watered regularly. This means when we stop every 3 or 4 hours, horses are rested, watered and fed. Even during travel they always have free access to hay. We ask owners to provide us a bale of hay per horse to ensure they are maintained on their same diet during the trip.

When conditions require a lay over, each horse is handled individually with special care and attention specific to their needs. Horses are stalled individually at first class facilities throughout the country. They are hand walked, to ensure proper exercise, and we even sleep on the premises with them to ensure their safety and protection.

We do not take horses to staging locations waiting for other horses to come and go. However, we must take all our horses on the best and safest routes possible to ensure we can pick and deliver horses in the least amount of time. We typically stay on Interstates versus back country roads.  And yes, we do stop to pick up or deliver other horses along the way.

Should medical conditions dictate the attention of a veterinarian doctor, we will contact the owner, explain the condition we observed and together determine the next step. However, we will not medicate horses at our own discretion. Also, we are not convinced that tranquilizers are in the best interest of the horse over long periods of time. Gentle care and handling, without shock or trauma, will generally achieve the same results and the horse will be a lot happier.

It has been our experience that when traveling with a horse, short or long distances, it is important to ensure the animal has time to settle into their routine through proper handling and individual attention. Much like any horse training exercise, if the horse is shown that no harm will come as a result of loading, unloading, and traveling in the trailer, they will feel at ease and actually enjoy all the attention we give them.
